Jet Fluid Energy Mill
The CCE Opposed Jet Fluid Energy Mill is designed for fine grinding
of most industrial powders including abrasives, ceramics, glass,
powder coatings, and toners. The particle on particle impaction
allows for extremely hard materials to be pulverized economically.
Incorporation of a centrifugal air classifier efficiently recycles
oversize particles back to the pulverizing zone and produces
consistent products in the size range of 90% less than 75 µm
to 90% less than 5 µm. Flow Description:
The system operates by injecting feed material into the classifier.
Particles which meet the desired fineness are carried through
the rotor by the upward moving classification air. The oversize
are rejected by the selected rotor speed and travel downward
to the pulverizing zone. At this point the particles are accelerated
by the controlled expansion of compressed fluid to a high velocity
and then impacted against an opposing stream. After particle
on particle impact, the ground material is conveyed back to
the classifier to repeat the cycle.
The CCE Opposed Jet Mill System comes complete with Pulverizer,
Integral Classifier, Flow Source, Product Cyclone and/or Collector,
Feed System, and Controls.
